Olives

Olives are pressed to get useful oil; fruits are squeezed for tasty juice and flowers are crushed for scented perfumes.

Thus, if you feel "pressured", remember that it is Allah who is getting the best out of you!


Olive the sign of peace and friendship in this world.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said,

"Eat olive oil and anoint yourselves with it, for it comes from a blessed tree." (Mishkat)

Olive oil can also be used on hands, hair, as a base for massage oil, and as a balm, it fortifies the hair. Olive oil keeps the hair shiny and prevents dandruff.

As a balm olive oil fortifies and moisturizes the skin, combating dry skin and softening it and also combats against acne.
Massaged onto the body, olives fortify the limbs, combat against inflammation, and sooth away aches and pains from tired muscles and so on.

Help against wrinkles and delaying the effects of old age, combat against strokes, heart-disease, High blood pressure, diabetes.

Aid digestion and strengthens the bowels, as well as the stomach, soothes pain and strengthens the body’s immune system. Drinking tea from olive leaves helps against High blood pressure.

General consumption of Olives, due to their high anti-Oxidant properties, help to combat against diseases such as cancer (studies in particular show Breast cancer), asthma, arthritis, osteoporosis, and others.
