Eid-ul-Fitr

Eid-Ul-Fitr is a pleasant time of joy when Muslims end their Fast. Muslims have two major festivals:
    Muslims exchanging Eid gifts
  1. Eid-ul-Fitr: Celebrate the end of Ramadhan.
  2. Eid-ul-Adha: At the time of Hajj.
The night before Eid-Ul-Fitr is called 'Laylat-ul-Jaa-izah' (The night of Reward). We should involve ourselves in worship this night too.

This is the night Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) bestows His rewards to those who have spent Ramadhan in worship.

It is recommended on the day of Eid to wear the best clothes. To perform the 'Eid Salah' is Wajib, it consists of two Rak'a and the Khutbah after the Eid Salah is also Wajib.

We are encouraged to greet our family members, friends or other Muslims with the greeting 'Eid Mubarak' (Blessed Holiday).

Also the Prophet (peace be upon him) asked us not to forget the poor people from our charities on that day.

It is recommended that everybody participate and witness the Eid prayer including those who are exempted for certain reasons. Fasting is prohibited on Eid.
