A Womens Guide To Hajj & Umrah |
Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reports that once she asked:
"'O Rasulullah (peace be upon him) Jihad (Striving or fighting in the cause of Allah (Most Exalted Most High) is the best deed. Should we (women), then not actively participate in it?' Rasulullah (peace be upon him) replied 'The best Jihad for you (women) is Hajj-e-Mabrur.'" [al-Bukhari 2:595]
Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reports:
" I was menstruating when I reached Makkah. So I niether performed Tawaf of the Ka'bah, nor the Sa'i between Safa and Marwah. Then I informed Rasulullah (peace be upon him) about it. He replied, 'Perform all the ceremonies of Hajj like the other pilgrims, but do not perform Tawaf of the Ka'bah till you get clean (from your menses).'" [al-Bukhari 2:712]
